A woman has been taken to hospital after a block of flats was “deliberately” set on fire in Aberdeen in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The 66-year-old was transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for checks following the blaze in the city’s Ash-Hill Drive.
Officers were called to a report of a fire in the communal close at around 1.50am. The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
Detective Constable Keith Morrison said: “We have been carrying out enquiries in the area and I would urge anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area or who has any information that will help our ongoing investigation to contact 101 with reference number 0411 of 20 March.
