Google MapsThe body of a woman has been found inside a car at Aberdeen woodlands.
Police were alerted to Countesswells Forest after a member of the public made the discovery at 11am on Thursday.
The woman’s identity is yet to be established and the cause of death is not yet known.
Officers remain at the scene and enquiries are ongoing.
A police spokesperson said: “At around 10.50am on Thursday, January 7, the body of a woman was discovered within a car in the Countesswells Forest area.
“Emergency services remain at the scene.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
