A probe has been launched after a man died at a hospital construction site in Aberdeen after suffering an injury.
The 52-year-old sustained injuries on a building site at Foresterhill Health Campus, at around 9.40am on Wednesday.
Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The site has been closed and an investigation has been launched into the death by police and the Health and Safety Executive.
Construction firm Graham confirmed that work had been halted and the incident had involved a sub-contractor.
Graham said in a statement: “We have halted work on site and are liaising with the emergency services and Health and Safety Executive (HSE).”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.40am on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, we were called to a report of a man being injured at Foresterhill Health Campus, Aberdeen.
“Emergency services attended and a 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The Health and Safety Executive has been informed.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
