A young girl has been taken to hospital after getting into difficulty in a swimming pool in Aberdeen.
Emergency services were called to Get Active @ Northfield in the Kettleshill Crescent area around 8pm on Monday after the alarm was raised.
A young girl was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
The leisure centre has been closed to the public and officers remain stationed outside.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8pm on Monday, February 12, 2024, police were made aware a young female had got into difficulty in a swimming pool in Aberdeen.
“Emergency services attended and she was taken to hospital. Enquiries are ongoing.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 7.56pm on Monday, February 12 to attend an incident at Kettlehills Crescent, Aberdeen.
“One ambulance and two special operation response teams (SORT) were dispatched to the scene.
“One patient was transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.”
