A young man is fighting for his life following a two-car crash in Perth and Kinross.
The collision – involving a Vauxhall Astra and Honda Jazz – happened on the A85 near to Methven Castle at around 9.30pm on Monday.
Emergency services attended and the 22-year-old Vauxhall driver and his 18-year-old male passenger were taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
The 22-year-old is said to be in a critical condition, while medics described the 18-year-old’s condition as stable.
The 32-year-old female driver of the Honda and a seven-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the car, were both taken to the same hospital to be checked over.
The road was closed for investigation works and was eventually reopened at 7.30am on Tuesday.
Sergeant John Learmonth said: “Our investigation into this collision is continuing and I would appeal to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police, or anyone with information, to contact us.
“I would also ask anyone driving on this road at the time of the crash or just before it took place who has dashcam footage to speak to officers as this may assist our enquiry.”
