Four youths have been charged and e-scooters seized after reports of anti-social behaviour in the North East.

Police say they received reports of youths riding e-scooters in an “anti-social manner” on Langdykes Road in Aberdeen and within a supermarket in Cove on Saturday, May 16.

Warrants were executed on Monday and four e-scooters were seized.

Officers say four youths have been charged in connection with various road traffic offences and culpable and reckless conduct.

Constable Rashid Scott-Paul, from the Community Action Team, said: “Operation Armour has been running since Monday, May 18 and is aimed at stopping those intent on causing anti-social behaviour of this kind in our local communities.

“We continue to rely on the support of the public to provide us with descriptions of vehicles, identity of riders, if they are known, and places where bikes or scooters are being kept.

“These pieces of information are all invaluable.

“We would ask anyone who has any information about incidents of anti-social behaviour or illegal or dangerous use of vehicles to get in touch with us on 101.”
