John Swinney has accused the Prime Minister of “ignoring” the Scottish electorate’s concerns over issues with postal voting.
Rishi Sunak’s official spokesperson said he was not concerned that some people could be disenfranchised by delays in receiving their postal votes ahead of polling day.
Delays to ballots being delivered means those who went on holiday over the last week may miss out on their chance to vote.
Asked if the Prime Minister shares Swinney’s concerns that the issue could affect the result of the election, his official spokesperson said, “no”.
