The Scottish Parliament is to re-introduce two metre social distancing as part of measures to help tackle the spread of Covid-19.
It comes as guidance is issued to businesses across the country aimed at reducing the transmission of the Omicron variant.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has also urged people to reduce their contact with other households as much as possible in the run-up to, and aftermath of, Christmas.
The social distancing measure at Holyrood will come into effect from Friday and will apply to the debating chamber, as well as across the campus.
MSPs are already able to contribute virtually to proceedings at the Scottish Parliament by speaking remotely.
