Humza Yousaf is taking questions at FMQs just a day after the SNP’s Holyrood group voted to suspend Fergus Ewing.
The veteran MSP was given a one-week suspension on Wednesday evening following a series of rebellions against the party – including voting for a no-confidence motion against a Scottish minister.
The punishment – which neither Yousaf nor Nicola Sturgeon voted on – will have a two-week grace period during which Ewing can decide to appeal.
The First Minister also faces MSPs after Glasgow became the first part of the UK to officially approve a safe drug consumption room.
The facility allows users to take their own drugs under the supervision of health professionals.
