Former Scottish Conservatives leader Ruth Davidson is set to be offered a seat in the House of Lords.
Davidson has been nominated by Boris Johnson, despite regularly clashing with the Prime Minister over Brexit.
The 41-year-old stepped down as the Scottish Tory leader in August last year, shortly after becoming a mum for the first time.
She is currently an MSP for the Edinburgh Central constituency.
Former chancellors Ken Clarke and Philip Hammond, also Brexit critics, are reported to be on Downing Street’s nominations list.
