The co-leader of the Scottish Greens is self-isolating having tested positive for coronavirus.

Lorna Slater, the minister for green skills, circular economy and biodiversity, is double vaccinated and said she had “only cold-like symptoms”.

Her test result means she will miss COP26 events as the UN climate summit starts in Glasgow on Sunday.

Slater said she felt “relieved” to have had both Covid-19 vaccine doses and that her symptoms were not any worse.

She said she will be self-isolating following NHS advice.

Everyone who develops symptoms of Covid-19 is advised to take a test and, if the test is positive, they must remain in isolation until 10 days from the onset, or longer if certain symptoms persist.
