The Scottish Labour Party has suspended MSP Foysol Choudhury.
STV News understands the Holyrood representative for Lothian has been administratively suspended pending the outcome of an investigation.
It reportedly comes amid an internal complaint over alleged inappropriate conduct.
Labour says all complaints are fully investigated, and appropriate action will be taken.
A spokesperson for the party said: “The Labour Party takes all complaints seriously.
“They are fully investigated in line with our rules and procedures, and any appropriate action is taken.”
Choudhury was voted into the Scottish parliament from the regional list in the 2021 elections, becoming the first Scottish Bangladeshi elected to Holyrood.
He is currently listed on the Scottish Parliament website as an independent.
