Appeal after building materials worth five-figures stolen during housebreaking in Peebles

Police Scotland are appealing for information following the theft of building materials worth a five-figure sum from a site in Peebles.

The theft by housebreaking occurred at a derelict building on Springwood Road and is believed to have happened between Friday, 19 December and Monday, 5 January.

Detective Constable Kate Loughrey said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area during this time, or who has any information that could assist with our enquiries.
