A further 50 people with coronavirus have died in Scotland as the country recorded more than 1400 new cases.
It brings the death toll under the measure of people who first tested positive within the previous 28 days to 2927.
The figures are lower than the 4649 deaths published earlier by the National Records of Scotland because they do not include suspected Covid infections.
The latest daily numbers, which saw the country record 1433 new cases, were revealed by the First Minister at the daily briefing.
Of these new cases 602 were in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, 318 in Lanarkshire, 163 in Lothian, and 88 in Ayrshire and Arran.
The remaining 262 cases were spread across eight other health boards.
The number of patients in hospital was recorded at 1257 – 94 of whom were receiving treatment in intensive care.
