A further 87 people have died in Scotland after being diagnosed with coronavirus, the Scottish Government has confirmed.
Total confirmed cases of the virus has risen to 174,002 – a jump of 1049 in the past 24 hours.
The daily test positivity rate is 9%, up from the 8.6% reported on Monday when 752 cases were recorded.
Of the new cases reported on Tuesday, 347 are in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde region, 196 are in Lanarkshire, and 96 are in Lothian.
The rest of the cases are spread out across 11 other health board areas.
According to NHS boards across Scotland, 2010 people are currently in hospital with confirmed or suspected Covid-19 – six fewer than what was reported on Monday. Out of those, 149 patients are in intensive care.
The death toll of those who had tested positive stands at 5796, however weekly figures on suspected Covid-19 deaths recorded by National Records of Scotland suggest the most up-to-date total is at least 7448.
Public Health Scotland said 437,900 Scots had received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine by Tuesday, an increase of 22,498 from the previous day.
It added that 6060 people have received their second dose, a rise of 522.
