The government has confirmed another two cases of coronavirus in Scotland, bringing the total to 18.

The number of people in Scotland to test positive for coronavirus has risen again, the government has confirmed.

There have now been 18 confirmed cases of covid-19, a rise of two from Saturday’s numbers, with the number expected to rise even further in coming days and weeks.

There has now been a total of 1957 people in Scotland tested for the deadly virus with the vast majority coming back negative.

Among the two new cases is one in Glasgow, taking the number of confirmed cases in the country’s biggest city to three, and another in Lothian.

The first confirmed case of covid-19 in Scotland was a week ago.
