Four people have died in Scotland in the past 24 hours having been diagnosed with coronavirus, latest figures have shown.
On Saturday, statistics released by the Scottish Government showed there were 177 new cases of coronavirus reported, a drop of 78 compared with Friday’s numbers.
The daily test positivity rate now stands at 1.1%, down from 1.5% on Friday.
The death toll of those who tested positive currently stands at 7651, however weekly figures on suspected Covid-19 deaths recorded by National Records of Scotland suggest the most up-to-date total is now more than 10,000.
Hospital numbers are not updated at the weekend, but on Friday 93 people were being treated in hospital having recently tested positive for coronavirus, with 12 in intensive care.
The figures also revealed that 2,764,607 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 993,180 have received their second dose.
