Nutella frozen items have been pulled from shelves due to fears pieces of metal could be inside the product.

Issuing a recall notice via the Food Standards Agency (FSA), Ferrero UK urged customers not to eat frozen Nutella croissants.

The notice affects four packs with a best before date of May 6, 2027 and a batch code of L126Z39 and those with a best before date of May 7, 2027 and batch code L127Z39.

The frozen products are sold in major supermarkets such as Lidl and Tesco.

Ferrero’s brands include Kinder, Raffaello and Fox’s.

Customers are being urged to dispose of the product or return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

“No other Ferrero product is affected and consumers can continue to enjoy their products as usual,” a Ferrero statement read.

They added: “Food safety authorities have been informed in the respective countries, and Ferrero is coordinating with customers and partners to ensure the effective recall of the impacted products from the market.

“Consumers who may have purchased the affected products are asked not to consume them and return the products to the point of purchase.

“In the UK, only Nutella Croissant is impacted.”
