Google MapsDrivers travelling between England and Scotland have been warned of delays after the M6 was closed in both directions due to a “serious collision”.
Following the incident, the busy motorway has been shut from Junction 36 to Junction 34.
Those looking to use the road which connects England and Scotland have been told their journey may take longer than expected.
Traffic Scotland said: “The #M6 has been closed in both directions this afternoon between J36-34 due to a serious collision.
“We would like to advise motorists travelling to and from Scotland that delays are likely so do give yourself plenty travel time.”
