It is one of the “shocking” incidents shared by Network Rail in a plea for revellers to take care when near train tracks.

In another clip, a person is seen stumbling near an arriving train before losing their footing and sliding between a carriage and the platform, disappearing from view.

An incident on an escalator caught on CCTV shows a passenger trying to exit a station when they slip and are tumbled over themselves twice before being rescued.

The national railway operator shared the footage of the incidents which it said were related to travellers being intoxicated.
