Elderly care home residents on lockdown due to the coronavirus outbreak have taken to social media to send heartwarming messages to their loved ones.
Staff at Elderslie Care Home in Paisley, Renfrewshire, and Burnfoot Hall and Coach House Care Home in Ecclefechan, Dumfries and Galloway, helped the pensioners share their love by posting pictures onto Facebook.
One Elderslie resident wrote: “I miss you Donald, boy oh boy, do I!
“Still alive, taking your good advice, and keep yourself safe.
“All my love, Nan.”
One mum said she was “keeping busy and out of mischief”, while another wrote: “Hi, Pauline, I am doing okay.
“I miss you and can’t wait to see you again. Love mum.”
At Burnfoot Hall, one resident told her family “don’t worry about me too much”, while another added: “See you for a beer soon.”
