A family have been left “heartbroken” after the death of a Scottish dad on a building site in Norfolk.
Brian Rodgers died at the scene after emergency services were called to the Furlong Heath development, off Salhouse Road, in Sprowston on Tuesday, February 17.
The 42-year-old is originally from the west coast of Scotland, his family said.
Officers from Norfolk Police say the circumstances of his death remain under joint investigation with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
Releasing a statement via police, his family said: “As a family, we are truly heartbroken.
“Brian was a wonderful fiancé, father, and brother, and our home and lives feel empty without him.
“It is clear from the overwhelming response we have had from family, friends, work colleagues, neighbours and acquaintances that he was greatly loved and respected by all of those he came into contact with.
“He brought love, laughter, care, support, comfort and joy to all of us and enriched our lives beyond measure.
“He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.”
His sister said via a GoFundMe page that he was a “hugely popular and kind-hearted man” who had lived in Norwich for almost 20 years.
More than £14,000 has already been raised to support Brian’s family.
