Parts of Scotland are set to be battered with heavy rain as a yellow weather warning comes into force.
The Met Office said parts of southern and central Scotland can expect up to 19 hours on rain on Thursday, with a yellow alert in place until 7pm.
Ferry routes have been disrupted, with CalMac reporting some services could be delayed or cancelled due to high winds and stormy conditions.
SEPA have issued two flood warnings in the Scottish Borders and Tayside, while seven flood alerts across the Central Belt, Fife and Dumfries and Galloway are also in place.
The Met Office has warned that travellers may face delays due to increased surface water and spray on the roads, while public transport services could also be affected.
People are being urged to prepare for possible flooding or power cuts and to check travel times before setting out.
Rainfall totals are expected to reach around 15–25mm in most areas, though parts of southern Scotland could see as much as 40–60mm.
The rain is expected to ease for a time later on Thursday morning before turning heavy again in the afternoon across southern Scotland.
