Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Ramsay, who was born in Johnstone and grew up in Scotland, has restaurants around the world and is well-known for his fiery temper in the kitchen when he films his TV shows.
The 58-year-old TV chef and restaurateur is known for his Hell’s Kitchen and Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares reality TV programmes.
Ramsay has earned a total of 17 Michelin stars throughout his career, with seven currently held across his restaurants.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced the news on Wednesday, listing all the recipients for stars next year.
Announced alongside Ramsay was 31 stars of recordings, motion pictures, television, and sports, was Miley Cyrus, Timothée Chalamet, Shaquille O’Neal and Stanley Tucci.
Dates have not yet been scheduled for these star ceremonies as recipients have two years to schedule from the date of selection before they expire.
Upcoming ceremonies are usually announced 10 days prior to dedication on the Walk of Fame’s official website.
Peter Roth, former CEO of Warner Bros. Television and chairman of the Walk of Fame selection committee, said in a statement: “We are excited to announce the newest selections of 35 esteemed individuals who will be enshrined onto the Walk of Fame as part of the prestigious Class of 2026,”
“These talented individuals have made significant contributions to the world of entertainment, and we are thrilled to honor them with this well-deserved recognition.”
