Greek yoghurt has been pulled from Marks and Spencer’s shelves over allergy fears.
The retail giant issued an alert via the Food Standards Agency (FSA) stating it had recalled its Authentic Greek Yoghurt with Vanilla over a potential risk the product contains gluten, which isn’t mentioned on the label.
This could pose a health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to gluten, as well as those with Coeliac disease.
M&S have alerted the relevant allergy support organisations of the recall, and signs will be on display in every store that sells the product, as well as on the Marks and Spencer website.
Shoppers who have purchased the 500g yoghurt product, with the use-by date of May 12, and have a gluten allergy or intolerance, are advised not to eat the product and instead return it to a store where a full refund will be given.
