Greggs is recalling packs of bake-at-home Steak Bakes after an error saw some containing Sausage, Bean and Cheese Melts instead.
The Food Standards Agency issued a recall notice on Monday after it was discovered that some packs of Greggs Steak Bakes, which are sold at Iceland, accidentally contained Sausage, Cheese and Bean Melts.
The Sausage, Bean and Cheese Melts contain sulphites, which is not declared on the label, and are therefore a risk to those with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide or sulphites.
The Food Standards Agency said: “Greggs is recalling Greggs two pack Steak Bake because it contains sulphites which are not declared on the label.
“Due to a packaging error some packs contain Sausage, Bean and Cheese Melts which contain sulphites. These were incorrectly packed in Steak Bake packaging.
“This means sulphites is not declared on the label; therefore the product is a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites.
“Customers who have a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide or sulphites are urged not to consume the pasties and instead return the pack to their nearest Iceland store for a full refund.
