Scotland is set to be hit by heavy rain bringing travel disruption and flooding as the unseasonable summer continues.
A Met Office yellow weather warning has been issued covering the north east of the country in force from 10pm on Tuesday until midnight on Wednesday.
There is a chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses, the Met Office warned.
There could be flooding and damage to buildings as well as delays or cancellations to train and bus services, and disruption to roads.
There is also a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life, the warning states.
The Scottish Environment Protection Agency said minor flooding impacts are possible in the north east from surface water due to heavy showers. Potential impacts include flooding of low lying land and roads and localised disruption to travel.

The unseasonable weather continues this week with more days with below average temperatures and spells of heavy rain.
During Tuesday and Wednesday a band of slow-moving heavy thundery rain will move north across Scotland. Along with this strong easterly winds will develop leading to a really miserable end to Tuesday in Fife, Angus and Aberdeenshire.
Most of the rain over the coming days will fall in the north and north east of the country with around 30mm falling widely over the north Highlands, Moray and Aberdeenshire. High ground will see the wettest conditions with the eastern end of the Grampians and the mountains in the far north seeing up to 90mm fall through Wednesday.
Temperature will recover later in the week with some areas of Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh reaching the high teens to low 20s on Saturday.
Longer term, there’s still no real sign of any prolonged summery weather in the foreseeable, although some computer models do hint at it settling down later in the month – although we wait to see if that remains a signal in the coming days.
