Several flood warnings are in place across much of the country after Storm Chandra brought heavy rain and disruption.

A flood alert has been declared in Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City, with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) warning that flooding to low-lying land and roads is likely to cause disruption following recent heavy rain.

In Tayside, a flood alert was also issued, with a flood warning in place for areas including Aberbothrie, Bridge of Ruthven, Carse of Lennoch, Innerpeffray, Kemphill, and the River Isla at Coupar.

Dundee and Angus are also affected by a flood alert, with Finavon and Tannadice hit with a flood warning alongside Kinnaird and the Bridge of Dun.

A Met Office yellow ice alert warning of slips and falls ended at 10am on Wednesday.

It comes after some areas were battered by winds of between 50 to 60mph in Dumfries and Galloway, Argyll and Bute and South Ayrshire as Storm Chandra brought disruption to Scotland.

Three weather warnings came into force across the Western Isles, the Borders, the Lothians, Strathclyde, Grampian, Fife, Tayside and the Highlands on Tuesday.

On the A82, a lorry and a coach crashed off the road and overturned near Loch Tulla.

In West Lothian, the B9080 has re-opened between Bridgend and Threemiletown, following a report a tree had fallen on a car at around 1.15pm on Tuesday.

There were no reports of any injuries.

In the Highlands, one lane on the A82 north of Spean Bridge by the Letterfinlay Straights has reopened following its closure on Tuesday due to fallen trees.
