The spookiest night of the year has been and gone, and despite the damp conditions in Scotland, guisers were out in force for Halloween.

With Scotland’s rich history and endless catalogue of ghost stories, it’s no surprise that Scots went all out with their costumes once again.

STV asked viewers and readers to share their costumes, which included tributes to the iconic Scottish series Still Game and the Christmas classic, Home Alone.

Some even dressed up their four-legged family members, with pups dressed as adorable pumpkins or scary killer dolls.
