Irn-Bru has launched its first-ever Christmas truck and is set to tour the UK in an effort to help office workers suffering from the “festive fear” after holiday parties.
The soft drink is hitting the road in a giant festive truck in an effort to aid bleary office workers recovering from their December work parties.
It comes after new data from the company behind the popular drink revealed that a third of Scottish people have “the fear” after their work Christmas parties, with 30% left worrying they something “a bit silly”.
Also featuring on the list is 26% of people feeling ashamed of questionable dancing, 20% flirted with a colleague, 14% faced embarrassment after falling asleep in a random spot, 12% took to karaoke, 10% fell over on the dancefloor, while 6% told their boss they don’t like them – with 7% revealing they love them.
Just under a quarter of people can’t face going back into the office the following day – with 23% calling in sick.
People can nominate someone to receive a drop from the Irn-Bru truck while the lorry completes a whistle-stop tour of the country: Edinburgh on Thursday, December 12, Glasgow on Friday, December 13, Manchester on Wednesday, December 18, and London on Thursday, December 19.
Kenny Nicholson, head of brand at Irn-Bru said: “We all know that dreaded post-Christmas party feeling and Irn-Bru is here to help. It’s one of the biggest nights of the year for the office, but no one wants to feel like an idiot – or as we would say, fanny – the morning after.
“So this Christmas, we’re creating a festive truck dropping off the ultimate pick-me-up when they need it most.”
To nominate someone to receive a can of Irn-Bru, you can contact the special hotline on 07598 402867.
