Sir Kenny Dalglish has praised the NHS after being discharged from hospital after testing positive for coronavirus.
The 69-year-old Celtic and Scotland legend had been hospitalised on Wednesday in order to treat a separate infection which required intravenous antibiotics.
The former player was given a routine test for Covid-19 after being admitted and the result showed up as positive, although he had been displaying no symptoms.
Now recovering at home, Sir Kenny paid tribute to NHS staff working tirelessly to fight the virus.
Sir Kenny told The Sunday Post: “They were absolutely brilliant. As a nation, we are all very fortunate to have them and I wish them all well as they work tirelessly to help the country through this pandemic.”
