King Charles III and Camilla, the Queen Consort, will be in Dunfermline to mark the former town becoming a city.
They will attend an official meeting at the City Chambers and visit Dunfermline Abbey on Monday, October 3.
The former Fife town was granted city status as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in May.
It saw Dunfermline become Scotland’s eighth city after Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Perth and Stirling.
The trip to the city will see Charles and Camilla holding their first public engagements since a period of mourning following the passing of the Queen ended.
On Tuesday, the Prince and Princesses of Wales visited Wales for the first time since taking up their titles.
