A lucky Scot could become the biggest ever Euromillions winner if they hold Friday’s winning ticket.
The jackpot for the draw on Friday, December 8 stands at £201m.
The historic prize would see the winner become richer than mega stars including Sir Tom Jones, Robbie Williams and Ed Sheeran.
The last record-breaking cash prize saw Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucestershire win £184m in 2022.
North Ayrshire winners Colin and Chris Weir from Largs won £161.6m in July 2011, making them the third biggest UK winners in the UK.
Mr Weir invested £2.5m in Partick Thistle football club – acquiring a 55% shareholding.
The couple also set up the Weir Charitable Trust in 2013 and donated £1m to the Scottish independence referendum in 2014. They divorced in 2019.
In July last year, an anonymous UK ticket-holder won a record jackpot of £195m.
Only 14 players have ever won a jackpot of more than £100m.
