Lidl stores across Scotland have slashed their festive vegetables to just 5p from Thursday until Christmas Eve.
British sprouts, carrots, potatoes, swedes, parsnips and shallots have now all been priced at 5p by the popular supermarket, which boasts over 980 stores in the UK.
Despite the significant promotional prices, farmers will still receive the same payment.
The price changes are as follows:
| Product | Weight | Price |
| British Brussel Sprouts | 500g | 5p |
| British Carrots | 1kg | 5p |
| British White Potatoes | 2kg | 5p |
| British Swede (individual) | Individual | 5p |
| British Parsnips | 500g | 5p |
| Deluxe Echalion Shallots | 300g | 5p |
A Lidl spokesperson said: “With other retailers on the market offering this with loyalty scheme prices, it makes Lidl’s one of the most lucrative options for all shoppers this festive season.
“To offer the best value, Lidl works on long-term agreements with producers and growers, ensuring that promotional prices do not affect the price paid to the farmer.
“The full range will be available in stores nationwide from today (December 18, 2025) until December 24, 2025, whilst stocks last.”
