No new coronavirus deaths have been reported in Scotland in the last 24 hours, Nicola Sturgeon has said.
It means the death toll among confirmed Covid-19 cases stays at 2448, or including suspected cases, 4033.
The First Minister said: “I would however stress that although this is clearly hugely welcome and very encouraging, it is nevertheless common for fewer deaths to be reported at weekends.”
She also announced there have been 29 new confirmed cases of the virus in Scotland.
For the first time, the FM said, official figures now include positive test results from drive-through centres coordinated by the UK Government.
It increases the number of confirmed cases in Scotland by more than 2000, taking the total to 18,030.
A total of 870 patients with confirmed or suspected coronavirus are in hospital, a decline of 94 on the day before.
Of those, 18 are being treated in intensive care, a rise of three.
Since the pandemic began, more than 3900 people who were hospitalised with the virus have been able to go home.
Sturgeon has said she hopes to move Scotland, at least in part, to phase two of its plan to leave lockdown at the end of this week.
