Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance has launched a “bold new ambition” in an effort to reach every Scot who needs help, in time.
The charity, which relies on public donations to fly emergency care to the scene of accidents and emergencies across Scotland every day, has also revealed it has refreshed its brand.
A spokesperson has said the brand relaunch is designed to help the charity communicate its ambition more clearly – which is that “no one in Scotland should die because help cannot get there in time.”
David Craig, SCAA’s chief executive, said: “After more than a decade of providing a life-saving service to the people of Scotland, and experiencing some of our busiest years to date, the time has been right for us to consider what the future holds for SCAA.
“Last year, our whole team, including our board, reflected on the reason our founders created our charity, and it was clear: SCAA exists to ensure that ‘No one in Scotland should die because help cannot get there in time.’”
The refreshed ambition will be communicated in the form of a new TV advert, which is set to screens in the coming weeks.
David continued: “This ambition represents both the medical expertise we bring to a critical situation and the speed at which our aircraft enables us to get there.
“Today, we commit to saying that we will not rest until that is the reality here in Scotland.
“Your regular gift could save the life of someone you love. Please give what you can to help make sure we always get there, in time.”
