A total of 85 people in Scotland have now been diagnosed with the coronavirus.
It is the largest daily jump since the Covid-19 outbreak again, with 25 new cases since Thursday.
It follows a jump of 24 patients the day before.
The latest Scottish Government update, published on Friday afternoon, shows the number of cases in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area has more than doubled to 21, while 20 people have been diagnosed in the Lothian region.
Eleven cases are reported in the Grampian region, with seven in Lanarkshire, six apiece in Shetland and Forth Valley, four in Ayrshire and Arran, four in Fife and three each in Tayside and the Borders.
It comes as the UK moved on Friday to the “delay phase” of its strategy to deal with the virus, meaning anyone with even mild symptoms, such as a cough or a fever, need to stay at home for seven days.
Meanwhile, events have been cancelled across the country. Check here for the latest.
There are now 798 cases of Covid-19 in UK as a whole, a daily jump of more than 200 from the number of confirmed patients on Thursday.
