The partner of crime boss Steven Lyons is being considered as an “active member” of the criminal organisation following her arrest at an airport in the UAE.
Amanda Lyons is among the 15 people who have been arrested as part of a global operation targeting the Glasgow-based Lyons gang.
The Guardia Civil confirmed that she was apprehended by authorities at Dubai International Airport as part of a crackdown on “one of the most violent criminal organisations to have emerged in Scotland”.
Spanish investigators say that Ms Lyons is an “active member” of the Lyons clan.
Her kingpin partner was taken into custody in Bali, Indonesia and extradited to Amsterdam, where the European Arrest Warrant issued by Spanish authorities was executed on Wednesday.
Lyons is now due to be deported to Spain.

Last week, the Guardia Civil conducted 18 raids, mainly on the Costa del Sol, as well as in Barcelona.
Electronic devices, large amounts of cash, corporate documentation, high-end watches and cryptocurrency wallets have been seized.
Police Scotland executed warrants of their own in and around Glasgow during the day of action.
Cooperation with the Turkish National Police has located and blocked numerous high-value assets linked to the network in the country.
Europol, the Turkish Anti-Narcotics Police, Dubai Police, the National Crime Agency (NCA) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) of the United States have also participated in the operational phase, the police said.
