Almost 40 people have been arrested after disorder broke out in Manchester as Rangers took on Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The Europa League match on Thursday night saw the English Premier League club score an injury-time winner in a 2-1 victory.
Thousands of Rangers fans made the journey south for the game and officers said they dealt with incidents before, during and after the fixture.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed on Friday that they had arrested 26 people in connection with disorder on Great Ancoats Street in the city.
A further 13 people were arrested for a variety of offences.
It is understood arrests were made swiftly to prevent any further breach of the peace.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We made 39 arrests in total for a variety of offences, which included 26 from the disorder on Great Ancoats Street.”
