Scotland is set to be battered by rain, wind and snow as many get ready to celebrate the New Year.
On Saturday, the Met Office predicted that most of the country could face disruption due to a deluge of rainfall and snowfall in some areas from Monday until Hogmanay.
A weather warning for wind from 7am on Hogmanay until 11.00pm in the Scottish borders and the central belt has since been issued.
Gusts of 50 to 60mph are expected. However, winds may reach 70mph in some areas.
A yellow warning for snow has also been issued in the Orkney Isles. Snowfall is expected to be around 20cm before turning to showers in the evening.
A second warning for snow has been put in place from 9am on New Years Day until 3am on Thursday for Tayside, the Scottish borders and the central belt.
Snow accumulations of 10cm are expected, whilst 25cm is predicted for hill areas.
