Scots have brought in a new year as 2020 draws to a close.
There was no street parties or club nights to bring in the bells this year with the public urged to stay at home.
However, families have been celebrating Hogmanay with their own households throughout the country as they look forward to the next 12 months.
Large get togethers were banned and pubs forced to close as action was taken to try and stem the spread of coronavirus.
It comes at the end of a year dominated by the ongoing global Covid-19 pandemic.
But as 2021 begins there will be hope for brighter days ahead for many.
