Scotland has recorded its hottest day of the year so far as temperatures rose to more than 23C in some parts of the country over the bank holiday weekend.
The Highland village of Drumnadrochit reached 23.3C on Saturday – beating the 20.6C in Achnagart 24 hours earlier.
Scots across the country flocked to beaches, parks and outdoor spaces to make the most of the balmy conditions during the Platinum Jubilee break.
Met Office forecasters said temperatures above 20 were likely in certain areas on Sunday, but Scotland’s biggest cities are set to miss out on the most tropical weather.
The mercury was initially expected to peak at around 22.4 on Saturday afternoon, but later rose again.
Glasgow peaked at 21C, but Edinburgh was slightly cooler with temperatures topping out at around 17C.
The capital is also expected to be cooler tomorrow, with highs of around 13C while Glasgow is expected to be warmer at around 17C.
