Spring is officially here, the clocks have sprung forward, and the weather this week is shaping up to be settled with plenty of sunshine.

That means you’ll have the perfect opportunity to make the most of those longer evenings and enjoy that extra hour of daylight.

Temperatures will be warmest in the north and west of the country, with the Moray coast potentially reaching 20C on Wednesday.

On Thursday, areas like Fort William, Lorn, Lochaber, and Glasgow could see highs of 18-20C.

This could very well be the warmest weather of the year so far, as the current 2025 temperature record stands at 19.7C, recorded at Port Henderson on March 21.

However, temperatures will begin to dip again after Thursday, with highs dropping to the 9-12C range on Friday and Saturday.

For hay fever sufferers, this is typically when symptoms begin to appear. Right now, it’s mainly tree pollen in the air, which affects a smaller group of people compared to other allergens.
