Another 21 people have died from coronavirus in Scotland in the last 24 hours.

Official figures released by the Scottish Government on Tuesday also showed there was 2056 new cases recorded.

Just under 1000 people are currently in hospital with the virus and 65 of those are in intensive care.

A total of 21,358 tests were recorded, with 10.3% testing positive.

As of Tuesday morning, 4,223,719 people have received their first dose of the vaccination in Scotland and 3,849,656 have received their second dose.

A total of 8687 people who recently tested positive for Covid-19 have died since the start of the pandemic in 2020, and just under 11,000 deaths have mentioned coronavirus on the death certificate.
