Scotland has recorded 2069 new cases of Covid-19 and one death in the last 24 hours.
Official figures indicate that as of Sunday, 1023 people were in hospital with the virus, with 76 patients in intensive care.
Of the 23,553 new tests for coronavirus that reported results, 9.5% of those were positive.
Around 4.1 million people have had their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, with around 3.8 million having had their second dose.
The latest statistics come as children aged between 12 and 15 begin to receive their vaccine appointment letters.
Drop-in clinics have been available to that age group for since last week, with parents and carers being encouraged to accompany children to sites when receiving their jabs.
Health secretary Humza Yousaf said it has been demonstrated that vaccines in this age group are safe and effective.
“The rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine to all children and young people aged 12-15 marks a significant milestone in the vaccination programme,” he said.
“It has been demonstrated that Covid-19 vaccines are safe and effective in this age group, and vaccination offers the best chance of protecting young people from Covid-19 and preventing further disruption to education.
“Many countries around the world have already been safely vaccinating children and young people in this age group.
“Getting the Covid-19 vaccine is a decision to be made jointly between parents or carers and their children, but it’s really important to use reliable and trusted sources such as NHS Inform when making a decision and assessing the potential benefits, risks and side effects.
