A Scots teacher is facing being struck off after “grabbing pupils’ breasts and bottoms” and kissing a student without their consent.
The General Teaching Council for Scotland says a number of allegations were made against the teacher, who has not been named, between September 2018 and 2019.
In the first allegation, the teacher was said to have approached a pupil from behind, grabbed her by the bottom and kissed her without her consent.
In January or February 2019, he is alleged to have lifted a student from the ground with his hands under her dress on her bare body without her consent and failed to put her down when she requested that he do so.
He is then alleged to have deliberately exposed her lower body as he lowered her to the ground without her consent.
A number of allegations between January and April 2019 include saying to a pupil, “Why are you wearing that? Are you wearing that out?”.
He is also alleged to have grabbed a pupil by the breasts and placed his hands on her body, and to have touched various people on the bottom.
In another alleged incident during the same time period, he is said to have entered a student’s bedroom, pulled the duvet away, shouted her name, hugged her and placed his face against hers, all whilst she was asleep.
In January or February 2019, he is alleged to have repeatedly touched a pupil on the leg and, in a taxi afterwards, despite being told to desist, attempted to follow her into a flat.
In September 2019, he is alleged to have grabbed another girl’s bottom.
The teacher faces a fitness to teach investigation with a full hearing set to take place this month.
