A Scottish teacher who reportedly had a baby with a pupil faces being banned from the profession.
The teacher, who has not been named, became pregnant following an alleged sexual relationship that began when the pupil was under the age of 18.
The woman is set to appear before the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS), where she faces being struck off.
She is accused of forming and maintaining a sexual relationship with a pupil between November 2018 and June 2019 while a teacher at an unknown school.
It is also alleged that between June 2019 and an unknown date in 2022, the teacher maintained a sexual relationship with the pupil, then aged between 17 and 20.
She is said to have given birth to his child in July 2021.
The tribunal will hear that between August 2017 and November 2018, she allegedly took the pupil to her home and engaged in sexual acts.
The GTCS said it is alleged that her fitness to teach is impaired and she is unfit to teach after breaching the code of conduct.
She is to appear before the watchdog on April 21.
