A social care worker has been removed from the register after he was convicted of forcing medication into a man’s mouth.

Graeme Stuart was found guilty at Perth Sheriff Court on April 7, 2025, of assaulting two residents in his care.

On an occasion between September 1, 2020, and September 30, 2020, Stuart seized a woman by the body, restrained her against the wall and shouted at her.

It was also found that the social care worker seized a man by the head and forced a quantity of medication into his mouth between November 2, 2020, and November 30, 2020.

The report from the Scottish Social Services Council read: “You have, during the course of your employment, physically assaulted two separate residents.

“This behaviour amounts to physical abuse of two vulnerable people that you were trusted to care for.

“You were in a position of trust as a social care worker and you have abused that trust by carrying out the assaults.”

Stuart was removed from the register on July 31.
