The unemployment rate in Scotland rose in the last quarter, according to the latest official figures.
Data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) shows the unemployment rate for people aged 16 and over was 4.3% in the three months from January 2025 to March 2025.
This is an increase of 0.5% on the previous quarter but below the UK average of 4.5%.
It is also a decrease of 0.2% compared with the same quarter in 2024.
The figures show that in total 119,000 people aged 16 and over were out of work in Scotland in the last quarter.
Meanwhile the proportion of people aged 16 and over in employment rose to 74.5%, an increase of 0.4% on the previous quarter.
The figures show there were 2,662,000 people in employment between January and March.
