Adobe StockA Scottish man who was extradited from Dubai is due to appear in court in connection with serious organised crime offences.
The 42-year-old man, who was arrested in the United Arab Emirates, has been charged with offences that took place across the country in 2020.
This is the first time an individual has been extradited from Dubai to Scotland.
The man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 42-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with serious organised crime offences across Scotland during 2020.
“He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today, Friday, December 19, 2025.
“We are grateful for the co-operation and support from the National Crime Agency and law enforcement partners in the United Arab Emirates.”
